Manchester Shops
The Manchester listings page includes details of
several more shops not mentioned here, and the
interactive Manchester Map shows where things are.
Please confirm details with the
shops themselves before making a journey.
Rob, Manchester
is the northmost outpost of the famous Amsterdam-based supplier. Now at
17 China
Lane, near Piccadilly Station. A small shop, but crammed full
of leather and bondage gear, and various insertables.
Vintage to Fetish in
Affleck's Palace
(52 Church
Street, north of Piccadilly Gardens) has a
good selection of PVC, Rubber, Chain Mail clothing, corsets, but
in limited sizes. Affleck's has a lot of other alternative shops too,
aimed at the "ordinary" club, student, goth, rock and body
modification scenes. For example, Affleck's is a place you can buy
Wildcat body jewellery over the
counter.
Helen Berlin is at
107a Oldham St,
M4 1LW (parallel to Tib Street), and accepts gently used items
on a commission basis. They stock a range of new and slightly used:
PVC, rubber, leather, harnesses, goth, alternative, club wear, BDSM equipment
and accessories.
Round the corner from Helen Berlin, is
Nua Lifestyle at
49 Tib
Street, M4 1LS. Nua is primarily aimed at women, and sells a basic
range of cuffs, floggers etc, some BDSM books and artwork, and lots and lots
of female-orientated insertables...
The Manchester branch of
Clone Zone is at
36-38
Sackville Street, and has a
small section of rubber and leather bondage gear, and a variety of gay SM
magazines (plus some het/pan fetish ones like Skin Two.) Sackville Street is
in the heart of the Gay Village, and the shop sometimes flies both the
Rainbow and Leather Pride flags above its entrance.
Manchester now also has a branch of
Agent
Provocateur at 81 King
Street Manchester. Agent Provocateur presents itself as a high class
lingerie boutique, with an emphasis on retro items like seemed stockings,
but also has strong links to the fetish fashion world.
(Manchester also has its share of vanilla sex-shops. In the city centre,
they're mostly in the area of Tib Street not far from Nua, which is listed
above.)
