Club Lash
Club Lash
is the North's largest BDSM / Fetish club, and takes place
on the second Friday of the month in central Manchester. The current venue
is The Tunnel, part of
Legends on the edge of
the Gay Village at
4-6
Whitworth Street, M1 3QW. This is on the "orphaned" stretch of
Whitworth St near Piccadilly Station's tram station. There is a small
NCP car park behind the venue, with its entrance on Aytoun Street - and the
car park is free in the evenings.
About Club Lash
Club Lash was established in 1998
by four women: Mistresses Kate, Mistress Rosie
Lugosi the Vampire Queen, the lovely Lady Helen, and DJ sub Sindy. Other
DJs include Miss Jinny, Chaos and Midnight. The night is
mixed by sexuality (les, gay, bi and straight) and by gender (male, female,
trans, points in between). All polite perverts are welcome, however you choose
to describe yourselves.
Admission is £15 / £8 to members
(membership costs £12, available to purchase on the night.)
What to wear
Leather, rubber, PVC, lingerie, cross-dressing and character
dressing (e.g. as a doctor, or school marm). Character dressing is often the
least expensive option, and we encourage this through giving each night a
different theme. Stripping to the waist is fine, but full frontal nudity is
illegal and would get the venue into trouble.
What is available
A cloakroom for leaving bags and "street clothes";
A chill-out area near the bar; a small dance floor; nooks, crannies and
tunnels for mixing; and Roissy
Workshops dungeon for playing.
Membership
Membership costs £12, which puts you on the regular
mailing list (postal or e-mail); you need to complete a form, and will be
issued with a card. Membership reduces the entrance charge to £8.
If you are interested in the women-only event Lash for Lasses, which runs
approximately twice a year, we can put you on the Lasses mailing list
without your having to become a member. Lasses events cost £8 (or
£5 if you are already a member), and are held at another venue,
currently Satan's Hollow. Just ask.
Please note that to keep the gender mix comfortable we do turn
away new, single, straight men. At one time 75% of enquiries came from men,
and if this were reflected in the club, the attendance by women would drop
off, and the club would no longer be Lash.
How to behave
Please read the SM safety leaflet provided. Do not ask for sex
in an insulting manner. Verbal humiliation may come later in a negotiated
scene; approach strangers in a friendly fashion first - or get a friend to
do this for you. Remember that being dominant does not give a person
license to sexually intimidate, insult or assault a person at whim. Anyone
found doing this (breaking rules and disregarding safe words) will be
removed and barred. A good top will warm you up before administering heavy
blows, so watch and approach those whose style you admire. Be prepared to
negotiate a scene and to leave a top if you do not feel your limits were
discussed or respected. Speak to one of the door women if you find anything
upsetting about the night.
If you meet a club guest in another setting please be
discreet - they may not wish friends or work colleagues to know their fetish
business.
